A LION IN THE HOUSE follows the stories of five exceptional children and their families as they battle pediatric cancer. As a follow-up to the national PBS program, Minnesotans Connect features local experts and resources for families dealing with childhood cancer.

In this local follow-up to the Independent Lens special, tpt brings together Minnesota's leaders in childhood cancer treatment and research for a wide-ranging discussion. The goal is to increase awareness among health care providers, patients, families and employers about the issues affecting the quality of life for cancer survivors and their loved ones.

The panel discussion will be hosted by tpt's Mary Lahammer and includes following guests:

  Dan Mulrooney, MD is a Pediatric Oncologist and the Director of the Long-Term Follow-up Clinic at the University of Minnesota that cares for survivors of childhood cancer.
