The Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities (CGMC) is a non-profit, non-partisan advocacy organization representing 69 cities outside of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. For more than 20 years, the coalition has united cities with similar concerns. Effective lobbying and the participation of city officials give the CGMC a strong voice at the state Legislature.
The CGMC Mission: Coalition cities are dedicated to a strong Greater Minnesota. Our mission is to develop viable, progressive communities for businesses and families through economic growth and good local government. We support fair property taxes, sound land use planning, scientifically-based environmental regulations, viable transportation systems, and effective economic development tools to meet that goal.
