OVERVIEW: Family & Children's Service (FCS) is a private, nonprofit agency, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. FCS helps over 24,000 people each year by providing individual and family counseling, domestic violence prevention and intervention services, public policy advocacy, family life education, immigrant services and other initiatives designed to strengthen family and community life. The agency was founded in 1878, and continues a tradition of integrating community concerns and needs into programming in order to help people help themselves.
