I have a 17' boom antenna that is 3 stories up and out of the weather. Generally reception is very good for 2,4,5,8 and 11. The RCA DTA800 allowed acceptable viewing on 11 and 27. We are about 55 miles north of Shoreview. People at 45 miles north of Shoreview have the same problems. What a great way to bring to being all of the rural people together under a big satellite dish, or pull the TV plug until the business world gets things together.

Antenna angle and placement closer to 'correct' window helps; digital VERY sensitive to metal (don't forget air ducts) and if antenna can be outside even then have to watch other structures. Plain Optima gets all channels even 41 upstairs, otherwise the Radio Shack 15-1892 is an amplified directional antenna so I can get all channels and 41 downstairs (only one of 8 tried that gets all!)

We had been having reception problems forcing us to move the rabbit ears around depending on the channel being watched. This has ended. We do occasionally get a weak signal from TPT channel 17 which sometimes affects the sound. We bought the antenna at Radio Shack and were told this was their replacement for the Zenith model they are no longer carrying.
