BHSU scientists are learning more about an isolated population of red-bellied snakes.
The Black Hills are home to an isolated population of red-bellied snakes. Many people have never encountered these tiny snakes, but Black Hills State Professor of Biology Dr. Brian Smith has studied them for years. SDPB visited with Dr. Smith and graduate student Kailey Devries as they conducted field work.
