Join Twin Cities PBS at the “Great Minnesota Get-Together.” Find us at the TPT Booth, located at 1545 Underwood Street (corner of Underwood and Lee) between The Perfect Pickle and Sweet Martha’s Cookies.

What to Expect:

  • Activities for kids including Imagination Playground Blocks and yard games
  • A quiet, private area for nursing / feeding parents presented by Minnesota WIC and Minnesota Department of Health
  • PBS Kids photo opps
  • Giveaways
  • So much more!

Daily Activities (8:00am-7:00pm):

  • Stop by the TPT Booth to enjoy family yard games, Imagination Playground Blocks, and take photos with your favorite PBS Kids character cutouts. You can also learn about how you can support public television and pick up a fun giveaway to remember your day at the State Fair!
  • TPT invites parents and caregivers to visit the TPT Nursing Nest, presented by WIC and the Minnesota Department of Health. The Nursing Nest offers a private, distraction-free space to nurse your child and change diapers while enjoying the State Fair.

Friday, August 23rd – Almanac Taping & Meet and Greet

Location: Minnesota Public Radio Booth (Located on the north side of Judson Ave. between Nelson & Underwood streets)

  • 11:00am-12:00pm – Be in the audience for a live taping of Almanac at the Minnesota State FairAlmanac is Minnesota’s longest-running statewide public affairs program and airs every Friday at 7pm on your local PBS station.
  • 12:00pm-12:30pm – Come say hello to Almanac hosts Cathy Wurzer and Eric Eskola and reporter Kaomi Lee for an Almanac Meet and Greet

Wednesday, August 28th – Minnesota State Fair Kids Day

Location: Twin Cities PBS Booth

  • 8:00am-7:00pm – Bring your kids to the Twin Cities PBS Booth and enjoy Minnesota State Fair Kids Day. They can take photos with PBS character cutouts, play yard games, and let their imagination run wild with the Imagination Playground Blocks! Special activities will be presented by TPT’s Lifelong Learning department. 
  • 9:00am-3:00pm – Your child can also meet Daniel Tiger from the popular PBS Kids show Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood! Ugga mugga!
