Frankie and Trudy’s night out at Quon’s Speakeasy turns deadly when bullets start flying, injuring the young son of the owner. Frankie seeks out local gangster Joe Perry, who she suspects is responsible for the attack. But the tables are turned when Joe kidnaps her, leading Trudy and Morality Officer Mary Shaw on a search through burlesque halls and to bootlegger’s stills.

Set in 1920s Toronto, the series follows the adventures of Frankie Drake (Lauren Lee Smith) and her partner Trudy Clarke (Chantel Riley) at Drake Private Detectives, the city’s only all-female detective agency, as they find themselves fighting crime in the age of flyboys, gangsters, rum-runners, and speakeasies.
