Minnesota and the Civil War Showcase

In partnership with the Minnesota Historical Society and to commemorate the 150th anniversary, this series of short films further explores important Minnesota episodes in the American Civil War. Episodes featured in this second showcase include the role of women in winning the war, the peculiar perils of Civil soldiers and prisoners of war, the dramatic election of 1864 and the significant role of Minnesota regiments at Battle of Nashville; the last major battle in the Civil War.
