Wig master Ivy Loughborough and her assistants create wigs and styles for characters in the recent Guthrie Theater production of A Streetcar Named Desire.
Wig master Ivy Loughborough and her department are responsible for the look of all the hair in every production at the Guthrie Theater. Whether styling an actor's own hair or creating, styling and fitting a wig, Loughborough translates the costume designer's sketches into three dimensions and brings realistic productions like The Glass Menagerie or fanciful productions like Midsummer Night's Dream to life. Minnesota Original visits the Guthrie's wig shop to see the styles for A Streetcar Named Desire take shape.
