With humble beginnings in 1963 as the Walker’s Center Opera Company, The Minnesota Opera has since evolved to be one of the largest opera companies in the nation. The Opera’s repertoire includes classical opera as well as new works, keeping the art form contemporary and dynamic. The Minnesota Opera’s New Works Initiative production of Doubt is the centerpiece of their 50th anniversary season. Written by John Patrick Shanley and composed by Douglas J. Cuomo, Doubt made its world premiere in January 2013.
