Educator, poet, playwright and filmmaker Said Salah Ahmed fled Somalia during the Civil War and immigrated to the Twin Cities in the early 1990s. Since then he wrote The Lions Share a childrens book that later became the inspiration of a play he produced for Steppingstone Theater based on Somalian folklore.
