Taking inspiration from classical portraiture and design, Payne’s colored pencil and oil pastel works offer a unique perspective of humanity. Payne’s newest project challenged him to focus on the patterns he creates, turning them into a series of wallpaper prints that were featured in Dwell Magazine. A founder of Minnesota’s Rosalux Gallery, he has also helped dozens of artists further their careers.
