Alex Kuno describes his paintings as darkly comic children’s fables. The caricatures in his Tiny Town represent his different voices and emotions. He isn’t sure how these characters will evolve, and says that’s the whole point of doing it. What do you think he means by this?

Alex Kuno paints scenes that appear to be fragments from a story, rather than trying to tell a complete story. He likes how this allows the viewers to have their own interpretation of what is happening. Take a childhood memory that you have told many times and draw or paint a scene or fragment of it. Share this with another person who doesn’t know the story and ask them to interpret what they think is going on. How closely does their interpretation match what really happened?
