a. Bill Phelps talks about “hunting for the photo”, which is the adventure of photography, being entrenched in the experience. What do you think he means by this?
b. A large part of journalistic photography to Bill Phelps is “waiting and watching,”, and “listening to something deep inside of me, I want to hear what it wants to say.” What do you think he means by this? Why would “waiting and watching” help result in better photographs?
a. Go outside and explore. Wait and watch, listen to yourself and what feels right, and try to find images of beauty and adventure. Walk around and take in the environment.
b. Take about 20 different pictures, and pick out your three favorite to share.
