If you were to write a song, describe what you think your process would be. Would you prefer to write alone or with a group? Would you write the lyrics first and then the music or vice versa? What are some topics you might write about?

Activity
Select a title for a song you might write some day. Look through a book, magazine, or newspaper and start scanning for interesting phrases (one to five words in length). Write down at least five phrases. Mix and match words between phrases, substitute your own words, change the pronouns. Try to come up with at least one phrase that makes you want to write a song. Keep looking for more phrases until you have something you like.
