Writing/Essay/Journal
Glass artist Josephine Geiger doesn’t work from a pattern when she creates stained glass works. She may start from a picture, but then she lays out the work on a table and moves pieces around until they feel and look right to her. In your life or your art, do you prefer to work from a pattern or go with the flow? Would you rather have things decided and set, or do you prefer to shift and move things around through experimentation? Also, what reason does Geiger give for making her art? How has Geiger’s background influenced her art?
