Writing/Essay/Journal
Julia Strand carves old reference books into sculptures to show the information in a new way. Pick a science subject you’ve recently studied and write down 15 facts about it. Be sure to include accurate details.
Activity
Now use materials you have on hand to create a shoebox diorama similar to Julia’s book art. Showcase the facts you wrote down using pictures, images, and a few words of text. (You don’t necessarily have to have a book on the subject; you can look up images and quotes on the Internet to print out and cut with scissors.)
