Patrick’s Cabaret opened 25 years ago in south Minneapolis as an accessible and friendly place for new performance artists of all backgrounds, particularly GLBT-identified artists, artists of color, and those with disabilities. In his performance piece Thrive!, Patrick Scully takes a look back at both the personal and global highs and lows of the last 25 years, how much society has changed, and how far we still have to go.
He quotes Martin Luther King, Jr.: “The arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice.” Why do you think this resonates so much with him? What does this quote mean to you?
