Young musician Sedra Bistodeau likes to hang out with people her own age who also play musical instruments. She would rather practice her violin than just hang out. What do you like to do in your spare time? Is there a group of people who seem to understand you better than others? What do you have in common with these people? Also, has Bistodeau always wanted to play the violin?

Bistodeau says, “It is easy to communicate the passion of a piece if it’s something that you’re passionate about.” Choose a piece of art and try to communicate it to someone else. If it is a painting, describe it. If it is a piece of music, play it. Try to capture the emotion and passion of the piece to someone else. Have them give you feedback to let you know if you succeeded.
