Children’s folk musicians Joe Mailander and Justin Lansing make up the Grammy Award-winning band The Okee Dokee Brothers. While not biological brothers, the two explored the world together as children and feel like they are as close as brothers. In their song Thousand Star Hotel, The Okee Dokee Brothers use the following metaphor to enliven their description of sleeping by the Mississippi River:
I’m sleeping in a 1000-star hotel
gold leaf pillow for my head
