Chuck Olsen and Taylor Carik created Futurekave--an interactive video-game-art-piece.
Chuck Olsen and Taylor Carik set out to create a project that married digital experience and social interaction. The result is Futurekave — an interactive video-game-art-piece hybrid that bridges virtual and physical space. Through an Xbox Kinect depth camera hooked up to a video game engine, participants are transported from physical space to a virtual reality where their movements and interactions determine the transformation of a fictional planet. Olsen and Carik are the founders of vidtiger, a company that mixes art, technology and social good.
