Photographer Mohamud Mumin uses his camera to create images and videos he hopes will spark conversation about the immigrant experience in Minnesota. Specifically, he aims to introduce the public to the real people and places that matter to the Twin Cities Somali Community. His Youth/Dhalinyarada photography project profiles young male leaders in the Somali community who are making a difference for their fellow immigrants and for the larger community. His latest work evolves that project to include young Somali women who are making an impact in their communities.
