The second season of TV Takeover is just around the corner and we’re reeeeeally excited. Independent Filmmaker Project MN (IFP MN), Circus Juventas, American Craft Council and Black Label Movement are “taking over” the TPT airwaves for 4 Saturday nights in April, and we want you there to experience the TV-making magic.

TV Takeover isn’t your typical public television show. In fact, it’s probably like nothing you’ve ever really experienced—even if you joined us for season one—new partners = new television magic.

So what makes TV Takeover so delightfully special, you ask? It’s a live television production event with real, living humans partying in our studios and you could be one of those humans. Tickets are available now but likely not for long.

If you need a little more convincing, here are 10 reasons to join us.

1. Learn to juggle with Circus Juventas and then watch others juggle with FIRE.

2. Bring your date to the anti-prom.

It’s a black and white affair at Black Label Movement’s party. Walk through the balloon archway, take a photo in the prom photo booth and slow-dance under a disco ball to live music. You’re welcome.

3. Build a boat & test your wits.

At American Craft Council’s party, learn how to build a boat with the Urban Boat Builders and then see how you match up against two hand-selected teams of local artists in “Family Feud”-style craft trivia.

4. Silent film scored live.

Find out what it was like back in 1925 as IFP MN has a live scoring of “The Phantom of the Opera.”

5. Be on live tv and wave “hi” to your mom.

She’ll love it.

6. Learn sweet dance moves.

During Black Label Movement’s party, DanceBums will be on-hand to teach us some sweet moves, then see how it’s really done as some breakdancers battle live, with a DJ.

7. Celebrate female filmmakers.

We have great filmmaking talent here in MN! Celebrate by watching 4 films by local women & interact with their subjects at IFP MN’s party! One of the subjects is a tattoo artist who will be on hand taking photos of people’s tattoos and scars, yes, for real.

8. Hoops acts.

Circus Juventas performers just a few feet away will soar through the air to Cloud Cult music.

9. Blindfolded pot throwing.

As part of America Craft Council’s “craft cage match.” This could get messy and will be fun. Just look at the guy in the photo.

10. Drinks: Need we say more?
