ST. PAUL, MN (June 3, 2021) – Twin Cities PBS (TPT) and iPondr have formed an innovative collaboration to further expand access to their high-quality human-centered stories. The collaboration will include an exchange of select content from both TPT and iPondr to be shared on each other’s digital platforms as well as on TPT’s broadcast channels.

“We are excited to expand TPT’s reach to new audiences through this collaboration.  iPondr’s commitment to share stories from voices not available through conventional media is exactly the type of perspective amplification we support at TPT,” said President and CEO of TPT, Sylvia Strobel. “We strive to meet our communities where they are to help educate and build social intelligence through storytelling, and the cross-content sharing with iPondr will assist us in doing just that.”

As part of the agreement, TPT will have access to the iPondr library of stories told through narrative, video, audio and photography to share with TPT’s audiences, and iPondr will share primarily narrative and video stories created by TPT covering a wide range of topics such as health, identity, rural America, the workplace and more. TPT and iPondr will also have the opportunity to partner on new stories.

“It’s key to our strategy to extend the reach of iPondr’s unique human-centered stories,” said Kate Mortenson, founder and CEO of iPondr. “We’re proud to partner with an organization like TPT whose mission of using the power of storytelling to enrich lives and strengthen community is aligned with our goal of Building a Kinder America.”

“We’re thrilled to enter into this partnership with Twin Cities PBS that aligns with our mission to bring people Life Outside Their Bubble,” said Shona Koester, president of iPondr. “In a time when the media is creating division rather than understanding, it is more important than ever to foster empathy through stories that open us to new understanding of those around us.”

The partnership will begin as a six-month pilot period with TPT and iPondr, with audiences enjoying the content from this partnership starting June 2021.
