Twin Cities PBS (TPT) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mary S. Jones, CFRE, MS, as its new Chief Advancement Officer. With over 25 years of transformative leadership in the nonprofit sector, Mary brings a wealth of expertise in driving philanthropic growth, fostering strategic partnerships and advancing organizational missions.

Mary joins TPT from Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota, where she served as Chief Philanthropy Officer, overseeing development for the organization and spearheading the philanthropic growth of the Goodwill-Easter Seals Foundation. Prior to that, Mary held a series of impactful roles at the YWCA of Minneapolis, including Chief Advancement Officer, Chief Advancement and Program Officer, and Interim CEO. Her leadership has consistently delivered measurable results in revenue growth, community engagement and mission-driven impact.

“Mary’s tremendous leadership in the nonprofit space, coupled with her proven ability to drive growth and foster meaningful connections, makes her an invaluable addition to the TPT team,” said Sylvia Strobel, President and CEO of Twin Cities PBS. “Her deep commitment to advancing organizations and creating lasting impact aligns perfectly with TPT’s mission of enriching lives and strengthening our community through the power of media.”

Mary’s extensive background also includes serving as Senior Development Director at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital Foundation, where she played a pivotal role in creating the foundation and advancing its philanthropic initiatives. Her dedication to the nonprofit sector extends beyond her professional roles: Mary has served on numerous boards, including as a past board member and chair of the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits. She is also a proud volunteer with the Ann Bancroft Foundation and the Think2Perform Research Institute.

“I am honored to join Twin Cities PBS and contribute to its legacy of exceptional storytelling and community engagement,” said Mary Jones. “I look forward to working with the talented team at TPT and our supporters to further its mission of informing, inspiring and connecting Minnesotans through public media.”
