Writing/Essay/Journal
By using an old technique to develop his analog photographs, Andrew Moxom looks at the modern world through 19th century eyes. Describe a scene or event from two different points of view. First describe it using your modern viewpoint and then imagine you are someone from a different time period, either past or future, and describe the scene from that viewpoint.
Activity
Old fashioned cameras like Andrew’s display an inverted image, as seen above. By making your own “pinhole camera,” you can make your own camera that inverts the image.
Follow the directions from the science education website sparticl.org to make your camera: http://www.sparticl.org/topic/camera/view/pringles-pinhole-make-a-camera-from-a-potato-chip-can-exploratorium/
