Writing/Essay/Journal
Children’s book illustrator Mike Wohnoutka thought that he would get a job illustrating children’s books right out of college. Instead it took him six years before he got a book published. How long would you be willing to wait for a dream to come true? How long would you keep working towards a goal if you didn’t reach it right away? Also, how much training do you think is needed for this type of art? How can you get that type of training?
Activity
Wohnoutka says that he prefers drawing animals because they can be more expressive than humans. Draw a set of animals with different expressions.
