As debate rages about U.S. involvement in Libya this week, we step back to 1993 when many of the same concerns were being expressed about intervening in Bosnia. Distress over charges of ethnic cleansing on the one hand coupled with whether the U.S. could get involved in an open-ended military conflict on the heels of an economic down-turn here at home dominated the debate.
