The census will count everyone in the U.S. Census data impacts all of us, so be counted!

The 2020 census will count every living person in the country, without regard for age, immigration status, criminal convictions or housing situation. Census data drives important decisions that have a huge impact on every Minnesotan. The census can be an exciting way for families to introduce children to civic engagement. Some say it’s the foundation of our democracy because it means representation in the US House of Representatives. Others resonate with the money aspect…more people living in your state = more money. Either way, it’s crucial to the functioning of our communities.
