The census will count everyone in the U.S. Census data impacts all of us, so be counted!

The 2020 census will count every living person in the country, without regard for age, immigration status, criminal convictions or housing situation. Census data drives important decisions that have a huge impact on every Minnesotan. Since the census is not in the Hmong language, Hmong people can help others complete it. Produced in partnership with the Minnesota State Demographic Center.

What is the Census and how does it benefit me and my community? The Census is so much more than a government form to be filled out. Some say it’s the foundation of our democracy because it means representation in the US House of Representatives. Others resonate with the money aspect…more people living in your state = more money. Either way, it’s crucial to the functioning of our communities.
